The Real Rhodes - Get away from it All!

For those of you that would really like to do something special on holiday, why not treat yourself to a tour with a difference - It's the ultimate mix of culture and ‘4x4’ fun on the Rhodes Land Rover Safari. What's so great about the tour - is you never know what you might see - as we venture through the south and western coasts of the island.

This is a real combination tour where you explore some of the most beautiful and natural areas of this region, whilst also having the opportunity to be able to stop and enjoy the scenery.

Your Hosts

Taking you on your adventure this year are our experienced drivers – Mark, Steve and Ray – who will take care of you from the moment you step on board and will certainly make it a day to remember with their extensive knowledge and great personalities.

Cape Prasonisi

Visit the southernmost tip of the island and the natural wonder -  Prassonissi – where the two seas meet and the home of the island's extreme water sports. As you are travelling in a 4 x4, they will be able to take you as far as possible across the sand bar and you will have free time for some great photo opportunities, a paddle between the Aegean and the Mediterranean - or to simply relax at a beachside Taverna.

Castaway Beach Picnic

Get back on board for an exhilarating ride up the scenic western coastline with the smaller outlying islands, culminating in a visit to a deserted stretch of beach in Appollakia Bay and chill out at our very unique Robinson Crusoe castaway style beach bar.

Go Greek - as this will be a chance to enjoy some of the local food with our light “Olive pickers picnic” of - fresh bread, feta cheese, tomatoes, olives, fresh fruit and of course some ouzo!

Mountain Villages, Honey and Suma Tasting

Further inland, you’ll visit the beautiful hamlet of Siana where you can sample sweet local honey and if you dare - suma – the infamous firewater!! There are small, local craft shops for those all important holiday souvenirs.

Complimentary Wine Tasting

Then it’s onto the winemaking region where you will stop at a small, family owned winery in the mountain village of Embona for a fun, informal wine tasting session. You will get a chance to sample some of their best wines whilst finding out how the wine is produced.

Diverse Rugged Island Scenery

You can also immerse yourself in some of our fascinating history and culture, whilst visiting a small countryside monastery. Plus, there will be some fantastic photo opportunities as you travel inland across the island: Diverse rugged scenery, wild growing herbs and flowers, pine forests and mountain tea.

After a full days adventure we promise you will be.....

‘Definitely Stirred, but not Shaken!
